R.T: The tank has a volume of around 5 M3 and is cylindrical in shape. It is also necessary to install a steam injector at the bottom of the tank in order to directly heat the dilute sulfuric acid inside the tank (the concentration doesn’t matter much). This steam injector is equipment purchased from a specialized manufacturer; it offers good mixing performance and low noise levels. The concern now is that the temperature at the point where the steam mixes with the dilute sulfuric acid right after it is injected might exceed 100 degrees, which could cause significant corrosion to the adjacent tanks.
Phenolic resin can be used to make fiberglass-reinforced plastic; the temperature isn’t a problem. It’s just that the container is too small, making it uneconomical
When the concentration of 316L is below 5%, the operating temperature should preferably not exceed 50 degrees Celsius; for such high temperatures, 904L can be considered, with an approximate corrosion rate of 1.14 mm/year

At a concentration of around 1% in sulfuric acid, at 80 degrees Celsius, the corrosion rate for 316L is approximately 0.3 mm/year. However, if the concentration increases slightly or the temperature rises further, the corrosion rate increases significantly; at a concentration of around 2%, the corrosion rate at the boiling point is close to 1 mm/year. Given your operating conditions, which are at a critical level, excessive local acid concentration can lead to severe corrosion. Therefore, it is best not to use this material in such conditions
