We used red copper in the past, but for the nozzles on certain towers where the sealing surfaces are damaged, the sealing effect is poor and leaks occur easily. Does anyone have any good gasket recommendations? Thank you
We also used 2 thick-grade copper gaskets; we heated them before use, and they seemed fine. As long as they are installed properly without being offset, that’s okay. Also, make sure to tighten them again after the machine starts operating. .
If contamination is a concern, try using metal-wrapped graphite.
The material and type of gasket should be selected based on various factors such as temperature, pressure, and the medium at the location where it will be used.

During system operation, it is common to heat-tighten the gaskets; this is something that is done frequently, and I’m not sure whether it constitutes a violation or not. It should be normal, I don’t know if others do it or not.
To distinguish the properties of media such as temperature and corrosivity, we generally use PTFE, graphite, and red copper. However, red copper must be annealed before use.
