Questions regarding the maximum lifting capacity of the lifting lugs in HG21574-2008

Dear friends: As the title suggests, in HG21574-2008, the thickness of the lugs increases linearly from specification 1 to 7; then why is the maximum lifting capacity only 10 tons? If the thickness is increased, shouldn’t the lifting weight also increase?
You are only looking at the load-bearing capacity of the lifting lug itself. The standards for lifting lugs take into account not only the lifting capacity of the lug but also the local stresses on the housing. So. . .
That is, the lifting capacity of the lifting lugs is not solely limited by the properties of the lugs themselves; it is also important to take into account the local stresses in the cylinder body as well as the bearing capacity of the welds. . . . . .
Reply to 1# hxjzlh: The load-bearing capacities you see are all fictitious. Just because it’s marked as 10 tons doesn’t mean that TP or HP lugs can be used to lift entire equipment – they’re generally only suitable for lifting things like pipe boxes or flange covers. If the thickness of the lugs is high while the wall thickness of the container is not, and if stress concentration in the container isn’t taken into account, then those load-bearing capacities are nothing but illusions
