I heard that Fujian has installed a new solvent deasphalting unit as part of its refining and chemical integration project, but it is not intended for producing asphalt products. Instead, the deoiled asphalt is used as fuel in boilers and for gas production (hydrogen generation), which helps to reduce the costs associated with hydrogen production. Moreover, boilers using this material do not require coal storage areas or slag disposal sites, making their operation more convenient.
