The construction investment is 1/5 of the railway, and the operating cost is only 1/3 of the railway. 　　In order to ensure that this coal pipeline is completed without fail, China Coal Wuhan Institute has invested 1 billion yuan to build an industrial park, with a 10-kilometer-long coal pipeline simulation laboratory as the main body. The research, installation, debugging, training, etc. of technical details will be completed here, which will become the rear area and control room for the construction of coal pipelines. 　　It is understood that as early as the 1970s, the United States completed the construction of a coal transportation pipeline with a length of 450 kilometers and a capacity of transporting 5 million tons of coal per year. It was discontinued in 2005. The former Soviet Union also built one, but it was blocked by coal slurry during the trial operation stage and died midway. Since then, no new coal pipelines have appeared in the world. 　　In the 1980s, China also planned to build a coal pipeline, and China Coal Wuhan Institute had already prepared the plan, from Shaanxi to Shandong via Hebei. However, due to the bankruptcy of the investor, the project was discontinued. Despite this, Wuhan Design and Research Institute believes that the economic and environmental effects of pipeline coal transportation will sooner or later become a good investment choice.
