May I ask how the impellers of multi-stage centrifugal pumps are connected to each other? Are the impellers separated from each other by bushings? How accurate is the axial positioning?
The impellers of multi-stage centrifugal pumps are fixed by spacer sleeves. First, pre-assemble the rotors. Measure the distance between each impeller and the total distance. The error should not exceed ±1mm.； If it exceeds the limit, the length of the spacer sleeve should be adjusted, or the length of the wheel hub should be trimmed.
Reply 1# green0031 Some have bushings, some don't. A few days ago, our workshop also repaired a 5-stage centrifugal multi-stage pump. There is no bushing spacing between the impellers. The distance is determined by the distance between each impeller. However, most general multi-stage pumps do not have bushing spacing.
