Could any expert tell me the exact steps to switch the condenser, that is, from A to B, including any precautions? Thank you
First, it is necessary to confirm that the condenser to be taken into use is ready for operation. Next, the cooling medium flow and the heat medium flow for the new condenser should be established sequentially. After verifying that everything is in order, the previous condenser is disconnected and the relevant valves are closed; depending on the actual situation, a decision is made as to whether the contents need to be emptied or not
I haven’t used it, but I think that’s how it works. First, turn on the cooling medium for B. Once this is confirmed to be working properly, switch the hot medium flow to B. Then turn off the cooling medium for A.
The key to switching the reboiler is: first to maintain the gas-liquid equilibrium inside the tower (that is, to keep the pressure at the bottom of the tower and the pressure difference stable), and then to adjust the amount of heating medium and the quantity of cooling material in order to make the switch gradually. The difficulty lies in the fact that it’s hard to control the preheating process. When pouring the material, be careful not to lower the liquid level in the reactor bottom; we use the vapor valve to pour the material in reverse ； Preheating should be determined based on the temperature of the material. Be aware that the standby reboiler is cold, and make sure not to dry out the reboiler ； It is important to control the speed of switching; if it is too fast, the material in the tower or the bottom of the tower can easily be vaporized ； After making the switch, depending on the actual situation, decide whether to empty the material after it has cooled down or to return it to the tower while it is still hot ；
