I have a project that requires the use of thiol. Given its strong odor, does anyone know any good methods for dealing with this smell when feeding thiol into storage tanks? Examples would be appreciated. Thank you~!
Is it feasible to seal above the liquid level with nitrogen in order to maintain a slight positive pressure inside the tank?
Do you want to store the material in a tank, or is there an issue with storing it in that tank? If the cost of nitrogen is too high, could a water seal be used instead?
Our facility has a nitrogen water seal tank, located next to the storage tank. The technology behind it isn’t complicated; it’s used to prevent the material from oxidizing, and the principle is likely the same.
