Problems with radar level gauges

Our company uses Rosemount radar level gauges to measure the level in the calcium carbide silos. There is a lot of dust in these environments, but we clean the probes regularly. These gauges have been in use for almost 5 years now, and recently the level reading often jumps to its maximum value suddenly. I would like to ask whether there can be issues such as aging of the probe over time with radar level gauges, and whether our problem could be caused by such issues
It’s been 5 years – quite a long time. You could consult the manufacturer; the domestic products we use become unusable after just one year, and what’s being measured is quicklime
The droplet-type nozzle is more durable, and the nozzle needs to be cleaned regularly; mechanical options work well in such situations as well
