Reply 1#: zhiweigezhi: With such a low gas production volume, it’s impossible to achieve this using any gasification method. The investment required for gasification devices already makes the cost of hydrogen production extremely high. If we consider, as an example, the purified gas produced by the gasifier as the feed gas, then the cost of hydrogen would be around 0.40–0.50 yuan/NM3 (excluding taxes), including the processing costs. Regarding coal consumption and water consumption, there are significant differences among different process methods.

Reply to 3# zhiweigezhi: It’s difficult to give an exact answer; variations exist depending on the manufacturing process, as well as different types of coal. Give a rough estimate. For an HT-L furnace, with an effective volume of 1,000 cubic meters, the coal consumption is around 600–650 Kg. Thus, the annual consumption of process coal is approximately 600,000–650,000 tons, while the consumption of thermal coal is about 300,000–330,000 tons. The water consumption is around 4.5–5.5 million tons. The total investment is approximately 2.6 to 3 billion RMB. Not professional; just for reference.
The cost of hydrogen production from coal in Maoming is 0.7 yuan per cubic meter; generally, this cost does not exceed 1 yuan per cubic meter, with variations depending on the price of coal.
