On September 2, 2011, with the production of the first batch of qualified pure methanol by Unit 2, it marked the completion of the overhauls of the four methanol units at Huadian Yulin Natural Gas Chemical Co., Ltd. for the year 2011. At present, all four formaldehyde production units of the company are operating at full capacity and functioning well, producing over 1,500 tons of refined methanol per day. It is understood that this major overhaul of the four sets of equipment represents the most extensive maintenance project in the company’s history, with the highest technical requirements, the largest number of participants, and the greatest challenges in terms of organization and coordination. It was also the first major overhaul carried out after Huadian Coal Industry acquired Yutianhua. The overhaul lasted 26 days, during which 906 tasks were completed.
Could the poster explain what manufacturing processes are used in each stage of the production of this device? What technology?
Yutianhua is a company acquired by Huadian; it is the first natural gas chemical enterprise in Shaanxi Province. It is also the largest industrial enterprise under the jurisdiction of Yulin City and a wholly state-owned enterprise. Located in the heart of Yulin’s **-level energy and chemical industry base, the plant currently has a production capacity of 510,000 tons per year of natural gas methanol and 150,000 tons per year of acetic acid. A plant with a production capacity of 600,000 tons per year of coal-based methanol is under construction, with trials scheduled to begin in August 2011. Meanwhile, the Hanglaiwan coal mine, for which the company holds a 37.5% stake, has reserves of 1.33 billion tons and an annual production capacity of 8 million tons; it is set to go into operation next year.
Methane Type 1 and Methane Type 2 are methanol synthesized from natural gas; Methane Type 1 uses two-column distillation, while Methane Type 2 uses four-column distillation. The methylene synthesis tower is similar to the Luhchi type, with two sections – the upper section features forced convection through coiled tubes, while the lower section uses natural convection; there is cold gas between these sections. The other two sets have been gone for 5 years; I’m not sure

Reply to 4# lizhaoye: Do you know if the 600,000-ton coal-to-methanol plant, which was scheduled to start operation in August this year, has begun operating yet?

I don’t know about this. All the information I mentioned was something I knew back when I was at Yutianhua Experimental*. I haven’t been there for a long time since then
It remains to be seen whether coal-to-methanol production can start by the end of next year
