Please share information regarding the calcium and magnesium content in the filtered brine used in your plants (that enters the resin tower). It would be best to have data obtained through ICP analysis; please indicate whether it refers to brine that has been filtered using Kaymembrane technology, or brine that has first passed through a clarification tank before being filtered mechanically. In our plant, the calcium and magnesium level in the brine after Kaymembrane filtration is between 900–1200 ppb, whereas it was only around 500 ppb before. Now, the plate heat exchangers used for filtering this brine need to be cleaned every six months or so, as scaling occurs very severely inside them; Previously, it was cleaned only once every year or so. # + +

For this batch, the concentration of saltwater is generally below 2000 ppb; sometimes it can reach up to 5000 ppb. If it’s only a few hundred ppb per batch, then the quality of your saltwater is quite good. By the way, what is your consumption rate of sodium carbonate?
The quality of your filtered salt water is still quite good. Here, we use titration to determine the calcium and magnesium content in the filtered brine, and it contains virtually none. Is the plate heat exchanger clogged? Don’t you use pure water in the boilers there?
