For WN50-63 FM (convex) with thread M20*1.5 and flange RF25, the numbers 25 refer to this type; whereas in 50-63 FM there are two types, A/B. Which type corresponds to the convex surface? Then there is the question of what the differences are between RF, FM, and TG RJ. Thank you.
The RF face is convex, also known as a protruding surface; it is a flat surface with protrusions all around, present on both sides of the seal. This type of seal is suitable for applications with lower pressure levels, and is generally used in situations where the pressure is below 4 MPa; The M corresponding to FM, that is, the sealing of the MFM surface, is known as a male-female surface seal; an internal ring gasket is generally used for this purpose. In China, this type of seal is commonly employed at pressures above 4 MPa ; TG is a tenon and mortise surface, which is not widely used ; RJ refers to a ring-shaped sealing surface, meaning that the sealing surfaces on both sides are in the form of ring-shaped sealing grooves. Metal elliptical gaskets are commonly used for this type of seal, and it is suitable for applications with high pressure levels; this type of sealing is generally used for pressures of 900LB or higher. The highest pressure level I’ve encountered with this type of seal was 2500LB. Its installation is complex and requires high precision, but it does not leak easily. However, once a leak occurs, it cannot be sealed again.
