Oxygen bottom-blown lead smelting requires oxygen lances and lining bricks; so how often should these be replaced as a normal practice?
For the oxygen lance, it’s about a month, but it’s not fixed. It depends on the bricks.

Reply to 2# cy1125915: Thank you for the answer you provided. If it’s one month, that’s still a fairly long period of time. So if it’s for a very short period of time, what causes that? Could you please give some advice?
Depending on usage, it’s about 6 months for us

Generally, it takes 50 days. The new generation of oxygen lance composite bricks produced by our company have been in use in bottom-blown furnaces for over 100 days now
It mainly depends on the lead content in the raw materials fed into the furnace; if the concentration of lead in these materials is low, the bottom-blown furnace will only be used for slag formation, in which case the oxygen lance and surrounding bricks may need to be replaced every six months. Our oxygen lances and surrounding bricks are very economical to use; in the past, when lead was blown out from below, they needed to be replaced only once every two months.
