Improper pre-column treatment: increase the extraction water appropriately, raise the temperature at the bottom of the pre-column, and increase the overflow from the reflux tank. There are basically no problems left. Another scenario is when the reflux in the main tower is low and the temperature in the tower bottom rises; adjusting this issue will resolve it quickly. However, if it’s a problem with the pre-tower, it will take longer to fix, as it’s necessary to remove the impurities that enter the main tower. All of this takes time.

Poor water solubility is caused by the failure to remove the light components from the pre-tower or by the upward movement of the heavy components in the main tower; the best solution is to wash the tower with alkaline water after shutting down the plant, which is very effective.
Adjust the pre-column temperature, reflux rate, and pre-column vent temperature.
