Gentlemen, I have a question. Reasons for the skewing of the gasification zone in a gas generator and how to operate it to restore normal operation!
(1) The particle size of the gasification feedstock was uneven, and the coal powder content as well as the moisture level were too high, resulting in uneven feeding into the furnace and poor distribution of the feedstock; this issue was not corrected in a timely manner. (2) Due to the particle size of the raw materials, the gasification rate varies after they enter the furnace, resulting in uneven conditions inside the furnace. In areas with larger particles, ventilation and combustion are more intense, leading to the formation of holes and sparks. (3) Local coking inside the furnace was not addressed in a timely manner through furnace adjustments, or improper handling led to uneven air distribution. 4. Methods for dealing with skewed layers in gas generator furnaces (1) Puncture the ash layer at the higher parts and use a small hook to remove the ash from the ash tray, in order to expel the ash and slag from the furnace as quickly as possible. (2) In areas where combustion is poor, proper ventilation should be provided at higher levels of the stack, and air holes should be carefully created in the material layer to increase ventilation. (3) In areas with light and in holes where burning is intense, use an iron rod to compress the material layer, and use the same iron rod to spread any unburned coal around to the areas that have been burned through. Add more material as necessary to maintain a uniform layer. (4) If coking is detected, the saturation temperature can be increased appropriately, but not beyond the controlled range for the saturation temperature. (5) Strengthen the screening of gasification feedstock to remove coal powder smaller than 10 mm from it.
