A new titanium heat exchanger has been installed in the unit; it is of the U-tube type and is made of Q345R+TA1 material. What are the precautions for using this type of heat exchanger? For example, with regard to pressure testing, purging, and maintenance.
Titanium heat exchangers are not very different from ordinary heat exchangers in terms of usage. Titanium cannot come into contact with iron ions; therefore, it is important to take precautions during maintenance to avoid iron contamination. When using steam for cleaning, the design temperature for titanium must not exceed 315 degrees, so the steam temperature needs to be controlled. Stricter requirements are applied during the manufacturing of titanium heat exchangers

Reply to 1# Niuhonghong: The use of titanium heat exchangers is similar to that of ordinary heat exchangers; there isn’t much difference. During maintenance, just be careful not to let welding slag splash onto the titanium material. Our company specializes in the production of titanium equipment.
Be mindful of pollution issues; keep the operating temperature low, avoid excessive pressure, and note that titanium is relatively soft and not resistant to wear
Overpressure is not allowed, as it may cause the tube sheet to deform and the intermediate partition to lose its sealing property, leading to a short circuit
Use a temperature limit of no more than 300 degrees
