I have two issues related to the conversion process here, and I would like some advice: 1. The pressure difference is high – the conversion furnace has a pressure of 1 kilogram, while the filter has a pressure of 7 kilograms. Has anyone encountered this situation? How can it be handled without opening the tank? 2. When the temperature difference across the beds in the converter is 40 degrees, is that okay? If it’s necessary to open the vessel for inspection, what measures should be taken with the converter while it is in operation?

I don’t know which type of catalyst was used, and how long it has been in use? The above phenomena are likely due to severe pulverization of the catalyst particles as a result of changes in the catalyst structure, along with serious flow imbalances within the catalyst bed; therefore, the operation must be stopped for treatment. Consider replacing the catalyst.
1. The high pressure difference in the converter may be due to flow deviation, which is also consistent with the temperature difference within the same plane as you mentioned. The cause of the deviation in flow could be pulverization, or it could be water carried by the water-gas stream, which leads to caking, scaling, and agglomeration of the catalyst. Another possibility is catalyst overheating, which leads to catalyst sintering. 2. A high filter pressure difference is likely caused by a clogged distributor in the filter or a clogged packing inside the filter. The above issues cannot be resolved without stopping the vehicle.
