1. The situations are different: a piglet, a sheep, and a cow are kept in the same pen. Once, the shepherd caught the piglet; it cried out loudly and resisted fiercely. The sheep and dairy cows hated its howling, and said, “He catches us often; we don’t make a fuss.” ”The piglet replied, “Catching you and catching me are two completely different things. If he catches you, it’s only for your fur and milk, but if he catches me, it’s to take my life!” It’s difficult for people with different perspectives and in different situations to understand each other’s feelings ; Therefore, one should not take pleasure in others’ disappointments, setbacks, and pain, but rather show concern and understanding. Be tolerant! 2. Rely on oneself. The little snail asked its mother: Why do we have to carry this hard and heavy shell from the moment we are born? Mom: Because our bodies don’t have the support of bones, we can only crawl, and we can’t crawl fast. So we need the protection of this shell! Little Snail: Sister Caterpillar has no bones and can’t crawl fast, so why doesn’t she need to carry this hard and heavy shell? Mom: Because Sister Caterpillar can turn into a butterfly, and the sky will protect her. Little Snail: But little Earthworm doesn’t have bones either, so he can’t move fast, and he won’t turn into a butterfly. Why doesn’t he carry around this hard and heavy shell? Mom: Because little earthworm brother can burrow in the soil, and the earth will protect him. The little snail began to cry: We are so pitiful; neither the sky nor the earth protects us. Mother snail comforted him: That’s why we have shells! We rely not on heaven nor on earth; we rely on ourselves. 3. Sharks and Fishes: Experiments were conducted in which the most ferocious shark was placed in the same tank as a group of tropical fish, with the two separated by reinforced glass. At first, the shark kept hitting that invisible glass every day, but it was all in vain; it couldn’t get to the other side. The researchers added some crucian carp to the tank every day, so the shark never lacked prey. Yet it still wanted to get to the other side and taste that delicious food, so it continued to hit the glass day after day. It tried every corner, using all its strength each time, but it ended up covered in wounds, and on several occasions its body was torn apart and it bled. This continued for several days; whenever a crack appeared in the glass, the experimenters would immediately add a piece of glass that was thicker. Later on, the shark stopped attacking that piece of glass and paid no attention to those colorful tropical fish either; it seemed as though they were just moving murals on the wall. It began to wait for the carp that appeared there every day, then used its agile instincts to hunt them, acting as if it had returned to its fierce and dominant state in the sea. But all of this was just an illusion. In the final stage of the experiment, the researchers removed the glass, yet the shark showed no reaction. It continued to swim in its usual area every day, ignoring those tropical fish completely. Even when the carp tried to escape to another place, it would immediately give up chasing them and refuse to go there at all. When the experiment was over, the researchers mocked it, calling it the weakest fish in the sea. But those who have been through a breakup know why: it is afraid of pain. 4. Miracles: In a remote town in France, there is a spring said to be highly sacred, where miracles often occur and various diseases can be cured. One day, a veteran who was missing one leg and relied on a crutch walked slowly along the streets of the town. The townspeople around him said sympathetically, \"Poor guy; is he going to pray to God for another leg?\" When the veteran heard this, he turned to them and said, \"I’m not asking God for a new leg; I’m asking Him to help me so that even without a leg, I still know how to go on living.\" ” Imagine this: be grateful for what you have lost, and accept the fact of that loss. Whether life brings gains or losses, one must fill one’s life with brightness and splendor, stop crying over the past, and strive to live one’s own life. 5. Fishing Rod: An old man was fishing by the river, and a child came over to watch him fish. The old man was very skilled, so it wasn’t long before he had caught a whole basket full of fish. Seeing that the child was cute, the old man wanted to give him the entire basket of fish. The child shook his head, and the old man asked in surprise, “Why don’t you want it?” ” The child replied, “I want the fishing rod in your hand.” ” The old man asked, “What do you need a fishing rod for?” ” The child said, “The fish in this basket will be eaten up in no time. If I had a fishing rod, I could fish by myself and never run out of fish to eat.” ” I think you would definitely say: What a smart child. Wrong; if he only wants a fishing rod, he won’t be able to catch any fish at all. Because he does not understand the skills of fishing; having just a fishing rod is useless. What matters in fishing is not the rod itself, but rather the fishing skills. Many people think that once they possess the right \"rod\" for life, they will no longer fear the hardships along the way, but in doing so, they are bound to fall in the mud. Just as children look at the elderly and think that as long as they have a fishing rod, they will have an endless supply of fish, employees look at their bosses and think that as long as they sit in the office, money will keep flowing in.
