In chemical production, the granulation equipment used for several common granulation methods includes the following. (1) Used in the agglomeration and slurry coating granulation methods, including spray granulation dryers, drum granulators, twin-screw granulators, disk granulators, etc. (2) Used in the melt condensation granulation method, with spraying in a drying tower; (3) Used in the extrusion granulation method, with an extrusion granulator. I would like to ask the experts here whether you are aware of the advantages and disadvantages of these granulation equipment, as well as what the particle size of the granules produced by each type is. Which type is suitable for producing fine particles, with a particle size requirement of 0.5mm–2mm?
There is a device called tooth-stirring granulation; the manufacturer claims that the resulting granules are 0.5–3 mm in size, but the quality is rather average. I’m seeking experts’ advice
Our factory uses spray granulation; the particle size is 2-4 mm, which does not meet your requirements
Granulation is likely closely related to the properties of the material used; perhaps the same granulator will yield different results when processing different materials.
High tower granulation is the best option to meet your needs, but it requires a larger investment.
