235 seamless tubes are used for the circulating water pipes in water film dust removal systems; previously these tubes would scale up, but lately there is no scaling anymore. Instead, corrosion and wear have increased, leading to perforations – even ordinary gate valves get punctured. What effective solutions are there? The water has a high salt content, with a pH of 4-5; it contains sulfur, and there are many fine particles due to poor sedimentation in the circulation tank! Are there pipes with excellent wear and corrosion resistance? How to use glass-lined pipes (fear of vibration)? Which valve is the best choice?
What is the pressure level? Piping lined with rubber, as well as rubber-lined butterfly valves, could be considered
Since lined pipes are not wear-resistant, it is better to use stainless steel pipes.
For valves, I think using rubber lining is sufficient; the material should be chosen based on the salt content of the medium.
This post was last edited by Gunaobiao Kun on 2011-10-13 at 10:25. It is recommended to use stainless steel; replace both the pipes and fittings. In areas with poor water quality, corrosion occurs quite severely, especially when condensate water undergoes secondary vaporization.

How about using FRPP pipes? The water temperature is around 50 degrees. FRPP is corrosion-resistant, but I’m not sure about its wear resistance!
Generally speaking, useful carbon steel is used for circulating water. You don’t remove the particles by adding chemicals. It’s a weak acid; NBR should suffice, right?
