Our heating furnace was originally designed to use dry gas, but when it was put back into use in recent days, it has been using liquefied gas. However, at night, the burner starts dripping fuel, and sometimes freezing occurs as well. The gas control valve is not in use; control is done via the valve in front of the furnace! At first, the temperature wouldn’t rise, but after using steam to blow on the burner, things improved and the temperature increased! We have also identified some reasons, but for now we can only make slight improvements; it’s still difficult to find a complete solution! Please, fellow sailors, help analyze this! Also, what should we pay attention to if our furnace runs on oil?
This phenomenon occurs at night because the temperature is low, making it easier for liquefied gas to liquefy and cause condensation; if there is a separation tank, some coil steam can be used for heating. In the past, when we used fuel in our heating furnaces, it was common for flames to emerge from the nozzles. In the most severe case, fuel carrying flames leaked out through these nozzles, resulting in a small fire. Therefore, when using fuel, it is necessary to ensure that its temperature is slightly higher so that it can vaporize more easily; also, the vaporization steam pressure should not be set too low!
