Hello everyone. I have a question regarding the measurement of hydrogen pressure. Transmitters used for measuring hydrogen pressure are prone to hydrogen embrittlement. Is hydrogen embrittlement related to temperature and pressure (specifically with regard to diaphragms)? If so, what is it, and please let me know the source. Thank you! !
There will definitely be some impact, but the transmitters used for measuring hydrogen are made of special materials, so there are no issues with normal use; it’s just necessary to pay more attention to checking for leaks and to use the tools carefully.
Reply to 2# Tutu: I think gold-plated diaphragms are generally used; I’m just not sure at what temperatures and pressures hydrogen embrittlement occurs
