It is a multi-stage centrifugal pump, using butane as the medium. Initially, it was observed that the vibration of the mechanical seal was low during the day but increased at night. After several tests, it was found that the vibration decreased significantly when the temperature at the pump inlet rose above 50°C. What could be the reason for this?
We need to check the spectrum; it could be the expansion having an impact, or it could be the oil temperature.

If the vibration is within the acceptable limits, there’s no need to worry about it. It may be that the medium temperature affects pipe expansion, causing changes in the position or shape of the equipment. Is there a hose in the middle?
Reply to 4# mirook: The vibration level is excessive when the inlet temperature is low; it reaches 16 mm/s when vibration is high, and only 2 mm/s when vibration is low. There is no temperature control valve, so the temperature fluctuates frequently and is also greatly affected by ambient temperatures.
