To produce high-quality products from wet-process phosphoric acid, acid pretreatment is carried out to remove impurities; this process results in a suspension with fine crystals and a slow settling rate. So which separation method should be chosen to ensure that as little of this suspension as possible reaches the subsequent processing stages? For example, in processes such as deep defluorination using calcium hydride, or in the production of water-soluble fertilizers to reduce water-insoluble substances.
