Regarding the above question, the following answer is given: “BCH” denotes a compressor unit with a vertically split cylinder, and a two-unit arrangement of rotary diameters. “The first two digits of 608 indicate the nominal diameter of the impeller in cm, while the last digit represents the number of impeller stages. “∕\"a\" indicates that this press is of the high-pressure type, with a pressure of 100 Kg/㎝2A or higher.
