Head generally refers to water, right? For example, when a certain fluid is pumped, if a pressure difference of 0.5 kilograms is required between the pump’s inlet and outlet, does that mean the head is 50 meters? I’ve noticed that in many cases the head value chosen for the pumps is a bit low; I’m not sure if my understanding is correct

The head of the pump should be calculated using Bernoulli’s equation, rather than simply being determined by the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet. The head provided by the pump manufacturer is measured using clean water at 20°C as the medium; if another medium is being transported, correction calculations must be performed
