Regarding the pipeline grade table

Some people say that a pipeline grade table from a design institute is an indicator of the level of expertise in pipeline design within that institute. I used to think that every design firm’s piping department had a ready-made pipeline grade table that should be used for every project, but recently I’ve noticed that some firms create a pipeline grade table for each individual project. May I ask everyone, which approach is the correct one?
Large design institutes have at least two complete sets of grade tables, which cover almost all the grades that the institute is capable of designing for. However, each device has its own characteristics, so essentially the grade table for each device is taken from these larger grade tables and then modified to take into account the specific features of that device.

For each project, we create a new ranking scale, but we mainly rely on those created in the past; there’s nothing fixed

A unified hierarchical scale can be created, with further details and selections for each item
