The thermal resistor is a three-wire type, so of course it has three wires
Thermistors come in two-wire, three-wire, and four-wire types. The resistance of the two-wire cable itself can interfere with the measurement results; in three-wire and four-wire systems, a bridge is used to compensate for the cable resistance, resulting in more accurate measurement outcomes.
Two-wire PT100: In many cases, two-core wires are used to connect directly to the PLC port, and a shorting wire is then used to connect the other port of the PLC to it
The connection cable does not have to be three-core; a two-core cable will also work. Using a three-core cable eliminates the impact of wiring resistance on measurements, resulting in higher accuracy compared to using a two-core cable.
