What is the sulfur content in FCC slurry? It depends on the origin of the crude oil, but what is the approximate level? Is there a certain range?
Why not take a sample for a total sulfur analysis? If asking such a question is considered too basic and inappropriate, then at the very least you should understand that different sources of crude oil and various processing methods can affect the sulfur content. Direct sampling and analysis is the easiest way to solve the problem. Or look up the data on crude oil evaluation based on its origin.
Depending on the sulfur content of the crude oil and the processing procedures, the combined processes include distillation–hydrocracking–residue hydrogenation–catalysis. Wax oil blended with residue oil – catalytic. Different oil cutting points result in varying sulfur contents in the oil slurry.
The sulfur content in vacuum wax oil accounts for 5%-7% of the total sulfur in the feedstock, while the sulfur content in vacuum residue accounts for 90% of the total sulfur in the feedstock. If hydroprocessing of the residue is carried out, the sulfur level in the refined product can be kept below 3000 PPm. If no refining is carried out, the ratio of catalytic feedstock is estimated based on the total sulfur content of the raw materials. It can’t be too high, otherwise the flue gas emissions will not meet the standards, and desulfurization facilities will be necessary.
