Differences between witness points, stop points, inspection points, and review points in the quality inspection plan

Internationally, depending on their importance and the requirements for supervision and control, quality control points can have “watchpoints” or “stoppoints” established. “Both “watch points” and “stop points” are quality control points; however, due to their varying levels of importance or the extent to which their quality issues have an impact, their operating procedures and supervision requirements differ. Witness Point The procedures for operating and the supervision requirements regarding witness points are as follows: (1) The construction unit shall, at a certain time before arriving at a witness point, notify the supervision engineer in writing of the time when it will arrive there to commence construction, requesting that the supervision staff be present on site to carry out oversight and supervision. 　　(2) Upon receiving the notice, the supervision engineer shall indicate the date of receipt on the “Construction Tracking File” and sign it. 　　(3) The supervision personnel shall arrive at the site at the agreed time to witness. The supervisor shall oversee and inspect the implementation process at the witnessing points, make detailed records on the witnessing form, and sign it. 　　(4) If the supervisor fails to arrive on site to witness within the specified time, the construction party may assume that it has been approved by the supervising engineer and is entitled to carry out the said construction work. 　　(5) If the supervisor has already visited the site for inspection prior to this and recorded their comments in the \"Construction Monitoring File,\" then the construction party shall specify the improvement measures that have been taken, or provide specific feedback. Stop point: A stop point is a quality control point that holds greater importance than a checkpoint; it is typically applied to “special processes” or “special techniques”. For those control points designated as stop points, it is required to notify the supervising party in advance so that they can send personnel to monitor those points before the specified time arrives. If the supervising party fails to arrive at the site for supervision and inspection at the agreed time, the construction party shall cease carrying out the work associated with that control point and wait for the supervising party in accordance with the contract provisions; no further work may be carried out beyond that point without approval. It is usually approved in writing for its continuation, but it can also be approved for continuation under an agreed-upon authorization system.

Same question: How are the \"audit points, witnessing points, and stop points\" defined in clause 2.4 of TSG Z0004-2007? How to understand it? How to control it? This was found in the quality plan for our project: To share with everyone, H – Stop Point: refers to a point beyond the scope of work, that is, work which should not be carried out without formal approval from the relevant personnel. Upon reaching point H, the responsible party shall notify the owner or the owner’s representative in accordance with the contract and standards. W—Mandatory inspection point: refers to a point beyond the scope of work at which work can continue without any formal written approval from an inspector. Upon reaching point W, the owner or the owner’s representative shall be notified in accordance with the contract. S— Inspection point: Random inspections of the construction work and related documents carried out by the constructor’s QA/QC department, as well as by the owner and his relevant personnel, without prior notice.
