With the same output of purified gas, how can ammonia production be increased? Why is the ammonia yield different when the volume of gas is the same?
In theory, the amount of ammonia produced should correspond to the amount of feed gas used. However, factors such as the methane content in the second-stage furnace, the optimal distribution of feed and fuel gases (as well as the optimal water-to-carbon ratio), the temperature in the first-stage furnace, and the methane content at the outlet all affect the ammonia production volume. There are also things like the exhaust volume, etc.

Hydrogen recovery from the synthesis off-gas is achieved using a membrane hydrogen extraction unit, and the operating conditions of the synthesis system can be fine-tuned through this unit, allowing the ammonia yield to increase by 5–8%.
