We recently replaced the rake arms and sludge scraping plates at the bottom of the agitators; the previous sludge scraping plates had corroded away, and the rake arms were also severely corroded. The stirrer in a brine clarification tank remains immersed in brine at all times, so it is generally not prone to corrosion and has a long service life; ordinary carbon steel can last 7 to 8 years without any problems. However, if there is free chlorine or other corrosive substances in the saline solution, the service life will be shortened.
