Could everyone share some good methods for source control of wastewater from refineries?
1. Reduce wastewater generation through improved processes. 2. Reuse wastewater as much as possible. 3. Reduce the amount of wastewater in the early stage. FYI
Source control means producing less wastewater, which is mainly achieved through process improvements.
1. Equipment management to reduce leaks and maintain a high equipment integrity rate. 2. Process management: select the appropriate process and strictly enforce process discipline. 3. Reduce the use of source water, such as desalinated water; for production water, rely more on natural drainage. Separation of clean and dirty water – domestic water and rainwater are collected for specific use or discharged externally. 5 Try to reuse the wastewater within this unit, and avoid passing it on to subsequent processes
Use less steam, especially in processes involving direct steam mass and heat transfer. . .
