Among the various urea synthesis processes, which ones are capable of directly receiving cold ammonia feed?
From the perspective of the urea production process, the reaction needs to take place under high temperature and pressure; therefore, liquid ammonia should be preheated. Does the smaller ammonia stripping unit have preheating? Liquid ammonia at 20-30 degrees is fed directly into the synthesis tower.

When cold ammonia is used as the feed in the CO2 stripping process, system fluctuations or shutdowns can cause blockages in the liquid at the bottom of the scrubber; therefore, this area is insulated with insulation pipes.
For our 300,000 tons of urea production, we use a carbon dioxide stripping process, with cold ammonia as the feed material, and no preheater is used. Has been in operation for 3 years.
Reply to 7#: The temperature of liquid ammonia, in every drop of it, serves only to maintain the thermal balance of the synthesis tower during the production process. Therefore, different devices have different temperature requirements; even the same device has varying requirements under different loads.

A few years ago, the gasket for the ammonia preheater in our unit disappeared at some point; we kept using it, and there doesn’t seem to be much difference now that it’s been replaced
