The cooling effect is poor; the load is too high!
What are the factors that affect the efficiency of alcohol separation? (1) Temperature. It must be at the critical temperature; the lower the temperature, the better. The critical temperature of methanol is 239.4°C at a pressure of 2. The critical pressure of methanol is 8.1 MPa. (3) The quality of the separator’s design and whether the internal components are properly structured. (4) An appropriate gas flow rate; generally, this ranges from 1 to 1.5 m/s. (5) The level of liquid in the separation chamber
It is also possible that there is a problem with the design of the separator, resulting in an excessive separation load. It’s also possible that the temperature wasn’t controlled properly.
If the temperature isn’t controlled properly, less methanol will condense, which results in a high methanol content in the gas leaving the system. It doesn’t seem to have much to do with liquid present in the outlet, right? !
Has your separator been performing poorly all along, or only recently? Is it possible that poor temperature control has led to wax formation, which in turn affects the separation efficiency?

If the cooler forms wax, the resistance will increase, but will this cause liquid to be present at the outlet?
