Dear sea friends: During the alcohol washing step after washing the MTBE reactor catalyst with water, when the external circulation pump is used for circulation, what should be the appropriate flow rate? Just use an external circulation system, right? No need to connect any more pipes, right?
This circulation volume should depend on the equipment and the condition of the circulation pump; as long as it is sufficient to remove moisture, I don’t think there is any specific requirement regarding the exact amount；
Our external circulation pump has a capacity of 151 cubic meters per hour; during alcohol washing, the external circulation rate is kept at around 30. It’s better to soak it in an open-circulation system first, as that will yield better results.
The external circulation is used to control the temperature; what do you mean by that connecting pipe?
