Nitric acid plants face significant challenges due to the strong corrosiveness of the media used, outdated processes, high equipment leakage rates, and difficulties in management; they are far behind other chemical plants. Proper management to ensure no leaks occurs is also very important; it’s essential to detect leak points promptly and address them right away to prevent problems from worsening

I was fortunate enough to visit a nitric acid production facility in Shandong (I will not mention its name specifically to avoid any appearance of advertising). In terms of the work attitude of its employees, the working conditions, industrial hygiene on site, and occupational safety measures, it performed very well, and it serves as an excellent example for other companies in the same industry to learn from.
To be honest, there’s no magic solution; I think installing a new nitric acid system will solve the problem
