Recently, there have been abnormalities in the boiler water of the waste heat boiler in my workshop: the alkalinity is high while the phosphate level is low. What causes this, and what should be done?
To determine whether the waste boiler discharge is proceeding normally and whether the quality of the water supplied to the waste boiler (water from the deaerator) is satisfactory, one can investigate the causes from these aspects.

The Jiang version has already covered the key points, so I’ll add some details. Waste heat boilers cannot be compared to regular boilers in terms of water usage and operation. Their pressure levels are generally medium or low, and their water requirements are relatively low. Moreover, the steam produced by these boilers is usually used in boilers or other heat exchangers, deaerators, and the users don’t have high demands regarding the quality of that steam. As a result, monitoring the water quality is often neglected during operation. The original poster can look up the relevant standards regarding the steam generation pressure rating of waste boilers, and use those standards to monitor and analyze the water used, or to set restrictions on the quality of that water. Regarding the water quality issues mentioned by the poster, investigations should be carried out following the approach outlined in the Jiang version. During normal operation, the water quality for use and the quality of the boiler water must comply with the specified standards, and waste water should be discharged in accordance with the regulations.
Check whether the quality of the boiler water is normal, whether waste water discharge is proper, and whether the chemical dosing system is functioning correctly.
What is the concentration of the formulation? At the beginning of operation, solid alkali needs to be added in order to increase the alkali concentration required for boiling the furnace. Is the alkali concentration in your chemicals very high? Generally, there is a corresponding relationship between the phosphate concentration and the alkali concentration.
