How to calculate the bursting force of an explosion-proof film
This is the pressure specified by the designer; if the equipment is to undergo a leak test, then the burst pressure should be greater than the design pressure and less than the maximum allowable operating pressure of the container; If a leak test is not conducted, it is sufficient that the burst pressure be greater than the operating pressure of the container and less than its design pressure.
This is all specified in Appendix B of GB150; it depends on the number of overpressure relief devices present in the pressure vessel. If there is only 1 such device, then its operating pressure should not exceed the design pressure or the maximum allowable operating pressure. Moreover, this relief device must be capable of preventing the vessel’s pressure from rising beyond 10% of the design pressure, or 20 kPa, whichever is greater. 1 or more: The operating pressure of one of the relief devices shall not exceed the design pressure; the operating pressure of the other relief devices may be increased, but must not exceed 105% of the design pressure. Moreover, such relief devices shall be capable of preventing overpressure in the container from exceeding the greater of 16% of the design pressure or 30 kPa. When a vessel is at risk due to a fire or exposure to unexpected external heat sources, auxiliary relief devices should be installed. The operating pressure of these devices must not exceed 110% of the vessel’s design pressure, and they should be capable of preventing the vessel’s pressure from rising by more than 21% of its design pressure. If it is also required that the overpressure meets B3.1.3, the operating pressure of the auxiliary relief device shall not be greater than the design pressure.
