The development of postgraduate students in chemical engineering

I currently work at a state-owned chemical company, and I really want to work in the field of design. I’m not sure what to do Would it be okay to work as a process supervisor and then switch to working in design? . . I’m seeking advice from fellow sailors; I’m really confused. :'(
How about working as a laboratory technician in a state-owned enterprise?

If it’s a man, I would recommend working in a chemical company – preferably one that is involved in large-scale new chemical projects. By working on such projects, you can gain a lot of experience and also get a clear idea of the direction for your further development. If it’s a woman, see if she can get a job at a design firm; it’s better not to go to a corporate company, as chemical companies generally don’t want women there (they hire women only to achieve gender balance)
If one has a high level of education, they should strive to move upward in the career hierarchy, toward roles such as process technology research, process design, professional foreign language translation, senior project management, and engineering technology consulting. It’s not impossible to start from the bottom, but those with higher educational qualifications generally can’t hold on; they keep changing jobs and eventually lose their direction.
