The combination of the riser outlet rapid separator and the top cyclone separator in the settler should be achieved through a flexible connection. Otherwise, the steam from the settler has nowhere to go.
Most of the newly installed units use flexible connections, which helps to reduce coking; this is also an ingenious achievement of Master Hao from Luoyang Institute. I heard him talk about this in one of his lectures last time
