Control of conversion valves: 1# lower by one layer, raise by two; 3# lower by four layers, raise by three; 4# lower by four layers; 5# lower by layers 3, 4, and 5; 6# lower by layers 1 and 2; 7# lower by layers 3 and 4. Precautions and parameters: Acid temperature: 40–50°C during drying; 60–70°C during first absorption; 60–70°C during second absorption. Conversion temperatures: Layer 1 – 420–425°C; Layer 2 – 460–465°C; Layer 3 – 430–440°C; Layer 4 – 420–425°C; Layer 5 – 420°C. (1) The catalyst temperature in the converter must not exceed 600°C.
