Causes of pump bearing failures

⑴The quality of the bearings is too poor (there are pitting on the raceways of rolling bearings, etc.), the raceway clearance is too small (in the case of sliding bearings), or the pump shaft and the motor shaft are not aligned； ⑵The fit between the outer ring of the bearing and the bearing housing does not meet the standards ； ⑶Excessive axial force due to some reason ； ⑷Poor cooling of the bearing housing ； ⑸Insufficient or poor-quality lubricating oil, too much grease, or excessive impurities or moisture in the oil. ⑹Poor installation. During disassembly and assembly, incorrect striking of the fitting ring causes dents on the contact surface. During operation, the rolling elements and raceways are subjected to impact loads, resulting in excessive contact stress ； In cylindrical roller bearings, the contact surfaces can be damaged during installation due to misalignment, shocks, or excessive force. During operation, the rolling elements and raceways are subjected to shock loads, resulting in high contact stresses.
