Most of them are operated automatically. The first-phase resin tower in our facility is manual, as the PLC cabinet on site is broken. There have been incidents where operators opened the wrong valves.

The operator is required to open the corresponding manual valve at specific steps. There was an incident once after a switch was made, in which the valve did not open properly, pressure built up in the pipeline, and saline leaked out ; There was also an incident where the operator forgot to close the backwash outlet valve, resulting in resin flowing halfway up the tower:

The control of resin towers differs to some extent from that of other equipment; in my opinion, automatic control should be used, with operators in the brine processing section monitoring the process on-site. This approach not only eliminates the complexities associated with manual control but also ensures the safety of the automatic control system. As for the other work sections, there is no need for this.
