These include manually dug piles, high-strength concrete pipe piles and other precast piles, as well as bored cast-in-place piles. Generally, for the same building or structure, it is not advisable to use different types of pile foundations, or a combination of pile foundations and natural foundations; installing settlement joints will suffice.
