Start-up plan for the catalyst in the pure oxygen Claus sulfur recovery process? A catalyst from the AL2O3 series is being used; is it sufficient to simply increase the temperature for reduction? How long will it take?
Personally, I think it should be the same as the regular heating method. In the pure oxygen combustion process, the volume of gas is relatively low, and how to ensure even distribution of the process gas through the bed is an issue that needs to be considered. During the heating phase, nitrogen and water vapor can be introduced to increase the volume of the process gas.
