Fertilizer hygroscopicity

Our company produced a batch of compound fertilizer some time ago; it was fine while in the bags, but within two days after the bags were opened, moisture absorption became extremely severe. Zinc sulfate, boric acid, superphosphate, calcite, magnesium oxide, urea, sulfuric acid an, and clay are added to the formula; does the original poster know that these substances are not compatible with each other?
There are chemical reactions between them
Urea reacts chemically with superphosphate, increasing its hygroscopicity. It’s best to neutralize the superphosphate first before mixing it.

Urea itself is hygroscopic, and when combined with clay, the moisture absorption becomes even more severe, leading to increased caking. Superphosphate also tends to cake easily; these are all characteristics of these materials. By adding an appropriate amount of anti-caking agents, it is possible to mitigate this issue and improve the situation.
