I was wondering if any of those present have used powder pumps. I want to know whether such pumps can be used to transport talcum powder. Those who have experience using powder pumps, please share your insights.
Additional information: 600-mesh talc powder. Transport distance: 50 meters. Vertical height: 2 meters. Leakage-free operation is required

For dry powder with a bulk density of around 0.9, a powder pump can be considered. Ingersoll Rand has one.

Powder pumps can be used to transport materials, but they are not recommended for use when the distance and height involved are short; they have a high energy consumption per ton and low efficiency. I believe that if the material, which is 2 meters high and 50 meters long, is talcum powder, a scraper conveyor with sleeve roller chains could be considered. With relatively lower energy consumption and investment, a powder pump can certainly be used as well, but it is not recommended.
