Our company intends to build a liquid chlorine vaporization unit with a vaporization rate of 5 tons per hour; the pressure after vaporization should be ≤0.8 MPa. The liquid chlorine feedstock will be pumped from the storage tank into the vaporizer using a magnetic pump. We would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations from everyone. # + + . hcbbs

We are currently in the process of construction. Initially, the design institute recommended that we use low-pressure steam along with Armstrong’s technology, but it was too expensive, so we rejected that option. We opted for a traditional hot water system. Later, we discovered that this technology had already been mastered domestically, and after examining the manufacturers using it, we found that the results were very good. Now it has been changed back to the steam heating solution. Advantages: saves space, eliminates the need for a hot water tank, pump, and chlorine preheating system. The price is much cheaper than Armstrong’s (the currency has changed from euros to RMB). I suggest the original poster consider it. Our requirement for the chlorine pressure is higher than yours, at 1.0 MPa. The traffic should also be higher. The reference price is over 1.3 million RMB per unit for a capacity of 60,000 tons per year.

Reply to 1# wenhoulong: Our company’s bleaching powder production project started operations on October 1, 2011, along with the liquid chlorine vaporization project; both are operating stably. The designed outlet pressure for the vaporizer was 0.8 MPa, but due to the requirements of the bleaching powder production project, the operating pressure of the vaporizer is set at 0.3 MPa.
